Gates of Olympus 2500 demo: the new version, explained on day one

Gates of Olympus 2500 is the newest game in the series, released by Pragmatic Play on 28 September 2026. Multipliers now reach 2,500x, the max win is 25,000x and you choose between four free spins modes. Default RTP is 96.52%. The free demo is live below.

What is new compared with the 1000

The grid, the tumble and the pay-anywhere rule have not changed. The 2500 changes what happens around them.

• Bigger multipliers. Values run from 2x to 2,500x, in both the base game and free spins.
• Two ways to collect them. In mode 1 a multiplier only counts if it lands in a winning spin, like the old games. In mode 2 every multiplier that lands is added to the total, win or not.
• "Super" versions of both modes, where every multiplier is worth at least 10x.
• Three ante levels and Super Spins instead of the single 25% ante bet.

The four free spins modes

*Buy prices are multiples of your stake and only apply where bonus buy is legal. Not at UK casinos. A natural trigger (4+ scatters, about once every 443 spins) gives you 15 free spins. Three or more scatters during the round add 5 more.

Mode 2 is the one that changes how the game feels. Multipliers no longer go to waste on dead spins, so the total climbs faster. That is also why it costs two and a half times more to buy.

Ante options and Super Spins

Instead of one ante bet, the 2500 has three. They cost 1.25x, 2.75x or 5.5x your base stake. The first doubles your chance of free spins. The second gives an eight times higher chance. The third raises the chance of the stronger bonus. All of them keep the RTP at about 96.49%.

Super Spins cost from 20x per spin and guarantee a multiplier on every spin. Those are expensive spins. At £1 base stake, one Super Spin costs £20. In effect, you are buying the feature one spin at a time.

How rare is the 25,000x?

Very. Published figures put it at 1 in 13,477,089 spins. That is about five times rarer than the 1000's top prize. Hit frequency is 27.93%, a little below the original's 28.82%. So the 2500 swings harder than any other version, apart from the Super Scatter's jackpot-style scatters.

Should you switch from the 1000?

If you enjoyed the 1000's big orbs, the 2500 gives you more control. You can pick a mode that fits your budget. If you find the 1000 already too swingy, stay away. The extra options mostly make the game wilder, not kinder.
