Gates of Olympus vs 1000 vs Super Scatter vs 2500

All Gates of Olympus versions share one engine and nearly the same RTP. They differ in how that RTP is spread out. The original pays the most "normal" bonuses, the 1000 and 2500 trade them for bigger peaks, and Super Scatter adds a rare jackpot-style trigger. The table below puts the numbers side by side.

How to read this table

RTP is the same, so no version is "better value". What changes is the shape. Look at the last three rows together. As the max win goes up, it gets much rarer. The money to pay for those peaks comes from the everyday results. Hit frequency drops a little, and more bonuses end small.

In practice, the original feels the most even. The 2500 feels the most extreme. The 1000 sits between them. Super Scatter feels like the original most of the time, with a small extra chance of a scatter prize at each bonus trigger.

Our pick by player type

Small budget, first time

Gates of Olympus. The most even version, the easiest to learn, and a max win you can at least imagine.

Knows the original, wants more

Gates of Olympus 1000. Nothing new to learn, just bigger orbs. Expect more flat bonuses.

Likes choices and new games

Gates of Olympus 2500. Four bonus modes and three ante levels. Needs the biggest budget.

Loves a long shot

Super Scatter. Plays like the original, with a small chance of a 100x+ scatter prize at each trigger.

Budget: what each version asks of you

A rough rule of thumb from the numbers above. About 900 spins gives you two bonuses on average, and roughly a 60% chance of seeing at least two. The 1000 and 2500 need the same spins but give flatter results, so keep a bigger cushion. At 20p a spin, 900 spins is £180 of turnover. Wins along the way cover part of that, but not all.
