How to play Gates of Olympus: the rules in five minutes
You play Gates of Olympus by picking a stake and spinning a 6×5 grid. Any 8 or more matching symbols, anywhere, pay. Wins vanish and new symbols fall in. Zeus's orbs multiply wins, and 4 scatters start 15 free spins. That is the whole game. The details are below.

A spin, start to finish
- Set your stake. The minimum is usually 0.20 per spin. The maximum depends on the casino and your country (£5 in the UK).
- Spin. Thirty symbols drop onto six columns of five.
- Count. Any symbol type with 8 or more copies on screen wins. Position does not matter.
- Tumble. Winning symbols explode. The ones above fall down, new ones fill the gaps. Check again for 8+.
- Repeat until no new win forms. Then any orbs on screen multiply the total win of the spin.

Most spins that "win" pay less than your stake. Eight blue gems return a quarter of your bet. That is normal on this game. The real value sits in crowns, big counts and orbs.
Orbs (multiplier symbols)
Orbs are round symbols with a number on them. In the original they range from 2x to 500x. In the 1000 and Xmas 1000 they reach 1,000x, and in the 2500 they reach 2,500x.
Two rules cover almost every question. First, orbs are added together, not multiplied. A 10x and a 5x make 15x. Second, in the base game they only count if the spin wins. No win, no multiplier.
Free spins
Four or more scatters trigger 15 free spins. During them, orb values that count are added into one total multiplier, and that total applies to every later win in the round. Three or more scatters inside the bonus add 5 spins. The free spins guide covers the details and the numbers.
Buttons and settings
- Ante bet / Double chance. Adds 25% to each spin for about twice the chance of free spins. Optional.
- Buy feature. Buys the bonus for 100x stake. Not available in the UK and several other markets.
- Info (i). Shows the rules and the theoretical RTP of the version you are playing. Check it before you play for money.
- Autoplay and turbo. Banned for real money in the UK and some other countries. You may still see them in the demo.

Do orbs multiply each other?
No, they are added. Two orbs of 10x and 20x give a 30x multiplier, not 200x.
